Copper CW103C

CW103C beryllium-nickel-cobalt copper

CW103C copper or beryllium-nickel-cobalt (ISO CuCo1Ni1Be), is a copper alloy used for the production of relay parts, switches, fuse terminals, electrode holders , switches or instrumentation for injection molds. The beryllium-nickel-cobalt copper alloy contains approximately 1% cobalt, 1% nickel and 0.5% beryllium. It is characterized by high hardness and high strength after hot forging. This copper alloy also shows very good thermal and electrical conductivity in the range of 45-60%, especially after heat treatment.

Typical properties of CW103C copper

Physical properties of beryllium nickel cobalt CW103C copper are as follows:

  • Density (g/cm3): 8.83
  • Density before hardening (g/cm3): 8.75
  • Modulus of elasticity (kg/mm2 (103)): 14.10
  • Coefficient of thermal expansion (20°C to 200°C): 17 x 10-6/K
  • Thermal conductivity: 209 W/(m * K) at 20°C
  • Melting range (°C): 1000-1070
